Ethics & Sustainability
Sustainability & Ethics
Artemis Muse is built on thoughtful design, small-batch production, and ethical craftsmanship. Our approach is simple: we create fewer, better pieces that support skilled makers and that you’ll love for years.
Supporting Artisans & Fair Work
We work closely with independent workshops and talented artisans in India. By choosing small-scale production, we support long-term livelihoods and help preserve traditional craftsmanship.
Ethical production is at the core of our brand: all artisans earn fair wages that reflect their skill and commitment, and we prioritise equal opportunities for women. We partner only with audited workshops that provide safe, respectful working environments, ensuring good working conditions, responsible labour practices. We use the ETI base code as a guide to help us navigate assuring this.
Small-Batch Production to Reduce Waste
Our collections are made in limited quantities to reduce overproduction and waste. Small-batch production helps reduce overstock and ensures that every piece is made with care—not excess.
We seasonally add a few new styles to the existing collection, allowing it to grow slowly and organically.
Using Safer, Low-Impact Materials
We avoid harsh chemicals and choose safer alternatives whenever possible.
- All dyeing processes use azo-free dyes, which are better for artisans, customers, and the environment.
- Our commitment to low-impact production is ongoing as we continue to explore more sustainable material options.
Recyclable & Compostable Packaging
Sustainability extends beyond the product itself.
We use recyclable or compostable packaging to keep unnecessary waste out of landfills and reduce our environmental footprint.
Designed to Work With Your Wardrobe
Artemis Muse pieces are meant to be worn with clothes you already have. We focus on timeless styles, versatile silhouettes, and easy-to-pair colours that encourage long-lasting use and effortless styling.
